Programme
Outline
Coursework
Each area of work will be continuously assessed by separate practical, oral and written assessments and assignments.
These will be observed by your college tutors as you progress through your course and during work placement. In addition you will need to record your achievements to produce a Portfolio of Evidence on all areas of study.
The majority of your time will be spent on the practical sessions, working with clients and other students.
College Cuts
The college operates a fully functional hairdressing salon where members of the public can avail of our services. Students will be assessed on all elements of the course through observation and oral questioning in these sessions.
Attendance & Work Placement
As all courses are of a continuous nature, no allowance for lateness will be made except with prior consent by the college.
Full
attendance for all classes and work placement is essential. Any
student unable to attend classes must inform the college before
commencement of the first class of the day.
Uniform & Equipment
All full and part time courses require students to purchase a college uniform for Health & Safety reasons, assessment needs and as part of their professional image in the salon.
A high standard of personal hygiene is expected and all students must have dressed hair and day make up must be worn at all times.
Students must bring their own equipment to sessions unless stated it will be provided. (Kit bags can be purchased from the college).
Training Heads are provided to ensure students can gain the knowledge they require.
