NVQ Level 2, Barbering
This qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to commence a career in barbering or that has recently taken up employment as a trainee barber. This qualification is highly practical and provides the skills and underpinning knowledge required to practice as a barber.
Course Content
- Cut Hair using basic Barbering techniques
- Dry & Finish using basic techniques
- Cut facial hair using basic technique (optional)
- Shampoo and condition hair and scalp
Progression
NVQ Level 3* Advanced Barbering, employment as a barber
Course Duration
Part time** one day a week.
- Course Duration 20 weeks. Tuesdays

*acceptance is by interview and skills assessment and you must be employed in a commercial salon.
**you will need a work placement within a commercial salon. Qualifications are highly regarded both nationally and internationally enabling you to progress in your career.
