Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

Fees and Enrolment

1. A student is accepted for enrolment on and subject to the conditions that the student will attend on the date (the commencement date) and at the time specified.
2. Registration fees are not refundable but shell be credited against the course fee.
3. Upon notification of the commencement date no variation in the course date will be permitted without at least one month's written notice being received by the college who reserves the right to change and confirm another date- subject to availability.
4. All fees quoted are exclusive of VAT. All fees must be received by the college without deduction, therefore any overseas charges will be automatically be added to the final balance.
5. In the event of a student failing to attend the confirmed course or complete the course for any reason, no refunds will be made and no entitlement to a later course will be gained.
6. Fees are not refundable if the course is interrupted or cancelled through an act of god or terrorist act.
7. Students will not be accepted on the commencement date unless full payment of fees is made.

Hours

Course hours can be varied at the discretion of the college without prior notice.

General

1. It is regretted that due to the possibility of copyright infringement the use of video cameras and audio recording equipment is not permitted.
2. As all courses are of a continuous nature, no allowance for lateness or absenteeism will be made except with prior consent by the college who also reserve the rights to dismiss any student giving justifiable cause for such action. Their decision in such matters will be deemed final.
3. Students will need to practice upon one another.
4. Students must bring their own equipment to sessions unless stated it will be provided.
5. Prints from photo shots must be paid by the student directly to the photographers.
6. The name Mayo College of Hairdressing may not be used in any form of advertising whatsoever, including advertorial.
7. Theses conditions shell form the entire basis of the contract between the college and the student. Only the college shell be authorised to alter or waive any of the aforementioned conditions.
8. In the event that a student is absent for 3 consecutive days the student may be expelled at the desecration of the principle.
9. Mayo College of Hairdressing bears the rights to the use of student images foe a duration of 45 years.
10. No mobile phones in classes- all phones must be turned off before entering any classroom.
11. As this is a practical course all students must be prepared to model on each other. Should any student be allergic to any product or products supplied by the college he/she should provide products suitable to him/her.
12. Arrangements should be made well in advance to provide suitable outside models for exams and assessments. Class tutors will not take responsibility for this while they will advise and help wherever possible.
13. Due to the structure of the course full attendance for all classes is essential any student unable to attend for classes must inform the college before commencement of the first class of the day.
14. Eating, drinking and/ or smoking are forbidden in all classrooms.
15. A high standard of personal hygiene is expected and all students are urged to have a daily shower or bath and use deodorant or antiperspirant. College uniform, dressed hair and day make up must be worn at all times.
16. As all class materials used for the course are costly, students are asked to be economical with them while working.
17. The College has a no smoking policy.
